Madeleine H. Gordon, Mady, is the Founder and President of The Madeleine Gordon Gift of Life Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides financial assistance for deserving candidates of infertility care at UC Health and the Institute for Reproductive Health. The foundation is under the auspices of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Together they promote the possibility of new life for Cincinnati-area couples by providing IVF treatments for childless couples longing to become a family.

The dream continues to be realized with the birth of each child. Today, with the help of the foundation, there are over eight-five babies born. The first-born Gift of Life child has graduated college with a dual degree in Chemistry and French. The third born child has married and had a child of her own. We are living to see the rippling effect that the foundation has created for other generations.

Mady nurtured and loved the children she did not have by teaching American and British literature and coaching high school debate teams. Today she revels in the families that Gift of Life has created and escorts them to plays, concerts and bike rides in the park as well as hosting ice cream socials.

Mady sold river view real estate in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was counted among the top five percent of agents in the United States. She was the first to convert apartments to condominiums and among the first to see Cincinnati’s glorious views and vistas as destinations for development. She followed her own lead by making her residence, a duplex, atop a beautiful Eden Park building, surrounded by a panorama of river and park, in East Walnut Hills.

Mady serves as a trustee on the board of The Cincinnati Opera, where she focuses on corporate development, The Cincinnati Art Museum, where she serves on the Acquistions Committee and works on event planning and development, and formerly on the boards of The Isaac M. Wise Temple, The Children’s Theater and JVS Career Services. She has led book reviews at The Mercantile Library and has worked on committees at the library focusing on membership and marketing.

Mady plays competitive tennis, Pickleball and is a bronze life master duplicate bridge player. (Unfortunately, Mady has met her match in golf!) She hails from New Orleans; however, ask her and she unequivocally says Cincinnati is home.
